Photo stories

While my blog posts are centred around myself and my own experiences, thoughts and photography, I aim to use photo stories to document - be it a place, a person, a community or even just an idea. Right now, I’m really enjoying the exploration of food culture - where our food comes from, the social significance of food and the role of food in our daily lives. That being said, I hope to use this space to further my own exploration of the world, and so these mini-projects may be whatever tickles my fancy.

My photo stories and projects vary in scale and duration, with anything from a single morning to a multiple years. What is consistent however, is a desire to go beyond traditional narratives, and to use my camera to show a nuanced understanding of the subjects in front of me.

My long awaited “hawker project”, documenting and celebrating hawker culture in Singapore.

Musings from a morning with Axel and Marine, a couple of organic winemakers from the French Loire Valley.

Exploring a fishing village in one of the final days of the fishing season outside of Hoi An, Vietnam.

An afternoon in one of the oldest coffee shops in Singapore.

Documenting the unseen labour in the early hours of Singapore’s hawker centres.
